Faced with loss, though Karma’s truth I know,
And life’s return in endless ebb and flow,
No comfort can it bring to soothe the pain,
For grief remains, as seasons wax and wane.
Deep pain persists, eclipsing ancient lore,
Reincarnation’s promise feels no more.
The truth of Soul eternal, vast and wide,
Is shadowed still by sorrow’s ruthless tide.
In these dark hours, the Master’s presence near,
Becomes the only solace, calm, and clear.
Through contemplation’s still and quiet light,
I glimpse His grace, and find my strength in sight.
Find the Master, seek His sacred way,
And in His presence learn to humbly stay.
For in the storm of sorrow, dark and bare,
His love’s the lifeline in the sea of despair.

We lost our cat, Cleo, yesterday. I have no words to describe the feeling. Those who have gone through it understand without my words. The point of this writing is not to share feelings but a possible solution.
In joy and sorrow, I have learned to rely only on the Inner Master and spiritual exercises. They have never failed me, but it takes discipline and practice to learn how to rely on them. They are not shortcuts or escapes. They provide fundamental, foundational change that helps in situations similar to my current situation.
